Concerto’s sire, Contucci, brings the direct influence of Trakhener stallion, Caprimond. Caprimond is one of the most influential breeding stallions in Germany. As an improvement stallion for the Hanoverians he leads the annual list for the production of “type”. He and his son, Hohenstein, are consistently amongst the leaders in the production of dressage horses for the Verband. Contucci continues that tradition in the United States. Foals by Contucci consistently do very well at breed inspections and breed shows.
His dam, Weaver of Magic, is a Westfalen whose bloodlines are predominately Hanoverian. She has a wonderful temperament and looks like a pleasant, uncomplicated horse to ride. She pulled carts for awhile before she started her dressage training. She was shown at 1st Level before starting her breeding career. Her bloodlines include the great Wendekreis.
Spring 2006
We sent Concerto off to Ron to be started. He probably needs a little more filing out but this black beauty is turning heads.
Fall 2006
The guy is back. He still skinnier than we would like but he is ready for work. His attitude with other horses is very appealing. We turned him out with Achim and there were no problems. He seems to adjust pretty quickly with changed situations. This may make his under saddle training go that much quicker.
Winter 2006-2007
Concerto is progressing nicely. We would like to show him in the 4 year old test this year so we will be watching his progress closely. For the time being we will not be posting a price for him.
